Hello, snippeters. This week’s snippet is from one of Ned Ericsson’s untitled works-in-progress. To see more snippets click here.
Snippets are a small taste of a work, normally around six sentences. Here are mine:
If this were a normal school day, the chances of my surviving a visit to my locker without being accosted by someone in one form or another would be slim. The jocks don’t particularly like me. Okay, they all but hate me. I’m strange, I guess. They all tell me I stare too much. I try not to. Some of them are good-looking, sure. I avoid looking at those people, but still I apparently observe too closely.
Great intro! I’m already loving this character.

Yikes. Sounds like an awful time for the poor guy.

That would definitely make for an unpleasant day.

Such quiet tension building, mingling with the development of this character.
